Many herbs that can be found even in Polish gardens, in addition to a nice smell or appearance - have a unique feature - they can heal. Maybe it is worth knowing the properties of some plants, instead of tiring the liver with a daily dose of tablets? In the past, housewives had to deal with the cultivation and proper storage of such herbs by themselves. Currently, herbs can also be bought in pharmacies or better grocery stores.

Herbs for malaise - St. John's wort and sage

St. John's wort is a commonly known remedy for depression and nervousness. Additionally, it has a positive effect on the digestive tract and biliary tract. It can also be used externally - for burns, frostbites, ulcers and various wounds. However, when taking birth control pills, it is better to avoid St. John's wort - it weakens their effect.

Sage also has a soothing effect on torn nerves, but that's not the only thing it can help us with. Sage tea will stimulate the production of digestive juices, while rinsing the mouth with an infusion will help get rid of painful mouth ulcers and thrush. Sage is a true friend of women - it regulates heavy periods and reduces discomfort during these difficult days. Women struggling with menopause can also count on sage to reduce hot flashes and night sweats.

In the treatment of depression, the following will also help: Siberian ginseng, ginkgo biloba, basil, licorice, and avena sativa.

Herbs for the complexion - chamomile

Who doesn't complain about the appearance of their skin? Pimples, discoloration, broken capillaries ... have you tried all possible creams and you don't know what to do? Try to drink chamomile regularly. Due to its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties, it is very useful in the fight against acne. In addition, chamomile helps with inflammation of the stomach and intestines and soothes conjunctivitis.

If you struggle with scalp ailments, a nettle rinse will be the best solution. It contains a lot of vitamins (K, E, C and B1), phosphorus, manganese, silicon and calcium - thanks to which it restores the neutral pH of the scalp, additionally strengthens the hair, accelerates its growth and prevents hair loss.

Another ally of a flawless complexion as well as strong nails and hair is the field horsetail. The infusion has a diuretic effect, thanks to which it quickly flushes out toxins from the body, stimulates the metabolism and detoxifies the body. Horsetail contains a huge amount of silicon, which makes the skin and bones elastic.

Herbs for colds - linden

As soon as we start to feel that something is taking us, it is worth reaching for linden tea. However, after drinking it, you should stay at home, and it is best to wrap yourself in a warm blanket or duvet - linden increases sweating. Thanks to this, we will quickly get rid of harmful toskins from our body. Lipa also has a hypnotic and calming effect, and additionally soothes coughs and sore throats.

If the throat is bothering us, it does not hurt to try a thyme gargle. A proven plant in the fight against colds is also Echinacea, which stimulates the immune system and has antifungal properties. Echinacea treatment should not last longer than a week, and it should be started as soon as we start to feel worse.
