Food that is harmful, i.e. food intolerance
Your belly always looks like a balloon, you feel discomfort, additionally your whole body looks tired, wrinkles and cellulite appear? Something is stabbing you, something hurts you, you cannot rest, you start to think that some chronic, serious disease has caught you? Check if your body signals a food intolerance. You're probably eating something that really hurts you.
Food intolerance: where did it come from?
We've heard a lot about intolerance to meals lately. Not so long ago, a gluten-free diet has become fashionable, and moreover, more people cannot eat, for example, lactose. Although the epidemic is exaggerated here, you can get the impression that almost everyone suffered from food intolerance.
Of course, this is not entirely true, but there are more and more people who cannot eat certain products due to unpleasant ailments. It is influenced, among others, by ... high awareness of body hygiene. It is obvious that we wash ourselves more often and with better cosmetics than several dozen years ago. Sometimes we kill all bacteria, and thus immunity cannot fully develop. Perhaps there is more truth to the saying "frequent washing shortens life" than we might think?
Another cause of intolerance is taking too much antibiotics, especially in the first stage of life. In this case, immunity also drops, and this situation results in food intolerance.
Difficult absorption of certain substances can also be hereditary. If the parents have celiac disease, the child is more likely to be unable to consume gluten-containing products as well.
If we want to prevent intolerance in our children, we should not diversify the diet of infants. They are not prepared for a large variety and a frequent result of such activities is the disease or food allergy in question.
Food allergy and food intolerance
It is worth knowing that these two concepts should be distinguished. First of all, they differ in the rate at which symptoms appear. If we are intolerant to food, the symptoms may remain dormant for many hours, while the allergy appears rapidly, usually right after eating a meal. In addition, the latter is often accompanied by swelling, vomiting or diarrhea, and heart problems may also appear. It can be said that food intolerance works somewhat in the background. Theoretically, it signals that something is happening, but so slowly that we often cannot tell why we feel bad.
How is food intolerance manifested?
As mentioned at the beginning, the first major symptoms are heaviness, abdominal pain, the appearance of cellulite, faster skin aging and chronic fatigue. If we feel this way for a long time, we probably cannot tolerate the food in our daily diet.
If we eat ingredients that are harmful to us, we also run the risk of increased sweating, sleep problems, stomach ulcers, slower digestion, obesity, and even acne or asthma.
How to check if food intolerance applies to us?
Currently, checking this problem is very simple, because tests are performed on a given component or multiple components. Then we know exactly what we cannot eat and what is better to remove from the daily menu.
Let us not expose ourselves to malaise and unpleasant ailments. If the tests show that something is harmful to us - just do not eat it. It is worth remembering that in every diet you can prepare delicious, valuable meals that will make you feel much better.
