Employee departure - the most common reasons
There are many reasons for the departure of employees. Among the most frequently indicated is the lack of opportunities for development and promotion. Another reason is too low salary, which motivates the employees to look for a new job with a higher salary. Next on the list is a routine that does not give employees a sense of professional fulfillment. This is the main incentive for ambitious and creative people who want more than just monotony from life. The fourth and probably the most common reason is bad contact with the boss / supervisor and other employees.

A good boss - what should his attitude be
As previously emphasized, the superior's attitude towards employees is extremely important. Failure to develop employee ties and a conflict of interest are usually the driving force behind the search for a new job. What mistakes should be avoided so that the employee wants to stay in the company for longer?
First of all - bad organization and lack of communication
A manager who is unable to organize the work of the team and is non-communicative is the team's greatest nightmare. This attitude frustrates employees who do not have clearly defined tasks, making their work - in their opinion - ineffective and pointless. A good atmosphere between the superior and the subordinate is also important.
Second - lack of competence
As you know, not everyone is suitable for a leader. A good boss should have both hard and soft skills, which will contribute to the care and mobilization of the team to work effectively.
Hard competences - these are those that can be confirmed with certificates, diplomas and certificates, e.g. completed universities, courses, training.
Soft competences - these are generally understood psychosocial skills, e.g. resistance to stress, time management, assertiveness.
A manager without proper education and psychosocial skills has little chance of keeping employees with him.
Third - the inadequacy of the manager
Contrary to appearances, the features that a good boss should have are extremely important. It may turn out that for some employees the manager's approach works like a blanket against the bull, and the rest of the team may be satisfied with the contacts with the supervisor.
So the manager sometimes has to control his temperament in order not to scare the really valuable employees away.
Fourth - negative attitude to work
A manager who treats his work as an unpleasant duty automatically approaches it negatively. This approach is infectious - employees are reluctant to perform their duties and, like on high heels, they wait for the clock to strike 4:00 PM to be able to evacuate home. But it also works the other way around - a good boss is motivated to work, he approaches it with heart and passion, and such an attitude arouses the willingness to act also in employees.
Fifth - lack of attention to development
In a situation where the boss does not care about the development of his employees, he can make them feel undervalued. By motivating employees to raise their qualifications, participate in training and courses, they build their awareness that they are someone important to the company, on whom to base its future. This approach will certainly increase their commitment to the work they do.
